Hi, I'm !

  • My Path to Here and Now...

I was born and grew up in Baton Rouge, LA.  My sister and I walked the few blocks to school, and so did almost all of our classmates, from kindergarten through high school.  Often, on Saturday mornings, we rode the city bus downtown.  We were among hundreds (maybe thousands?) of youngsters who descended on the Hart, Gordon, and Paramount theaters for those early matinee movies.  My Dad and Mom were members of “The Greatest Generation”; hard working, dependable, devoted to family and faith.  When I was almost 20 years old, I interviewed for a flight attendant position with the world’s largest airline carrier.  I had never been on an airplane, but no one asked me. So, off I went!  During the next 18 years, I lived in Chicago, Los Angeles, and Atlanta before returning to Baton Rouge in 1983.  While serving thousands of people all across the USA, I learned that most of us greatly value the qualities of honesty, patience, respectful behavior, personal responsibility and good humor.  These lessons have guided me through my time in airline service and sales, medical office services coordinator, being a wife, mom, grandma and real estate broker. I will appreciate the opportunity to put my experience and dedication to work for you.

Why Work With Me?

Did you know that on August 19, 2024, Louisiana Real Estate License Law was amended to require that real estate agents, when working with a prospective home buyer, must have a written Buyer Broker Agreement in effect before the Buyer can be shown a home?

The Buyer's Broker fee may be paid, in part or in full, by the Seller, the Listing Broker and/or the Buyer. All fees, commissions and/or bonuses are fully negotiable and are not fixed, controlled, recommended or suggested by law or any multiple listing service or association of REALTORS®.

Consumers nationwide, including in Louisiana, will receive a class notice if they sold a home that was listed on an MLS anywhere in the United States between February 1, 2020, and February 1, 2024.

Relevant information can be found on the settlement website: www.RealEstateCommissionLitigation.com

For additional guidance, call the Settlement Administrator at (888)995-0207.

The Louisiana legislature revised the real estate licensing law to require all real estate licensees to have buyer agreements. HB 366/Act 690 is effective August 19, 2024.

Home Buyers AND Sellers need to know how this "new normal" will affect them. I can help you understand. Contact me.
